Fern D. Nissim, Principal, Certified Marketing Director
Principal of the Round Pond Group, Fern brings with her more than 18 years of marketing, communications and award-winning experience in the nonprofit & business sectors. As National Director of Communications for the American Technion Society (ATS) and as Director of Marketing for Simon Properties – the country’s largest mall developer – she developed and implemented numerous highly-regarded promotional campaigns which resulted in unprecedented funding and growth. Many of her initiatives have won national awards and recognition. As marketing consultant and principal of the Round Pond Group, Fern has established major clients in the educational and health industries. Recent clients include several library campaigns for Shrewsbury, Grafton, Fitchburg and Boylston. Her team also created and promoted the Senior Moment Spotlight for a healthcare client. This series of infomercials, monthly radio show and social networking campaign created a popular buzz in the area. RPG also completed a campaign for Jett Foundation helping to raise close to a million dollars to combat Duchenne muscular dystrophy towards the launch of a new DMD clinic at Mass General Hospital in Boston. Fern’s education includes Mass College of Art in Boston, Sangamon State University in Illinois and continuing educational programs through the International Council of Shopping Centers in NY. Fern serves on the Board of Directors of Elder Services of Worcester and is an active member of the Blackstone Chamber of Commerce. She presents semi-annual workshops for the Chamber on networking and the SBDC at Clark University on basic marketing for business and nonprofit organizations. She also co-produced a TV show in Worcester on Charter 3, Top Entrepreneur.
Jared Nissim, Web and Social Media Director
With 10+ years of website development experience, Jared brings his web design and social media skills to Round Pond Group. Having created several personal web initiatives over the years, as well as consulting for many clients, Jared has developed valuable insights into the process of bringing businesses to life on the web. He has built many types of websites, such as online magazines, eCommerce, directories, social networks and of course basic sites for any business or cause. Jared uses popular content management systems such as WordPress, Joomla and Drupal to build user-friendly sites that clients can update easily. He strongly believes in the “teach a man to fish…” philosophy. He will arm you with new technologies and the knowledge of how to use them on your own, so you’ll never be dependent on anyone again for the basic stuff. And he’ll be there to help if you need it.
